Privacy Policy

Last updated:

The short version is posted on the wall as our House rules. This page says the same thing in more detail.

1. Most machines never see your files

Compress image, Convert image, Merge PDF and Split PDF run entirely in your browser. Your files are opened, processed and saved on your own device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.

2. The dryer (Compress PDF) is the exception

Compressing a PDF needs our server, so that one tool works differently:

  • Your PDF (up to 30 MB) is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our server, which runs on Google Cloud Run.
  • It is compressed in a temporary folder and deleted as soon as the compressed file is sent back to you — also if something goes wrong.
  • We never store your PDF, and we never record its name or its content.

3. What our hosting providers record

  • Google Cloud runs the server. Like most hosting, it keeps a request log for each call to the dryer: your IP address, the time, the address requested, the response size and status, and your browser's user agent. We use it only to keep the service working and safe. Google keeps these logs for about 30 days.
  • To stop abuse, the server counts requests per IP address for one minute, in memory only. The count is not stored.
  • The website itself is a set of static pages served by a hosting provider, which may keep similar technical logs.

4. No cookies, no tracking, no accounts

  • Toolito does not use cookies, does not ask you to sign up, and does not track you across sites.
  • There are no ads and no analytics today. If that changes, this policy and the House rules will be updated first.
  • Fonts and every other file are served from our own site, so no third party learns that you visited.
  • To work offline, your browser stores a copy of the site (not your files). You can remove it by clearing this site's data in your browser.

5. Changes

If we change how Toolito handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
